Level of Care Assessment

Understanding and Meeting Your Needs

What Is a Level of Care Assessment?

A Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) is an in-person interview completed by Pathway to Care and Recovery’s Assessment Specialist team. This assessment gathers information from you to identify and evaluate treatment needs based on the extent and severity of the your substance use.

The LOCA includes the six dimensions from The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria, 2013. Additionally, it assesses your strengths, resources, preferences, limitations, challenges, and needs, helping to establish priorities for treatment.

Your Recovery Journey Begins with the Right Plan

This step is crucial in determining the level of care you or your loved one requires, enabling our staff to identify the most suitable treatment provider to meet those specific needs. Each individual who walks through our front door has their own story that requires an individual plan that is right for them in their journey towards recovery and healing.
