Pathway to Care and Recovery is a program of Renewal, Inc. (“RENEWAL”). RENEWAL is a private not-for-profit 501(c)(3) behavioral health and community corrections organization that provides comprehensive programming empowering individuals for a successful reintegration into society. Renewal and its subsidiaries, Renewal Treatment, Inc.®, Lydia’s Place® and GETPAID, Inc.®, deliver alternative housing, specialized treatment in both drug and alcohol and mental health, and other reentry support services based on a cognitive behavioral approach that emphasizes accountability and responsibility of the individual.
This Privacy Policy describes the collection and use of your information by RENEWAL when you use the Pathway to Care and Recovery Website located at: https://pathwaytocareandrecovery.com/ (the “Site”). 1. RENEWAL’S Collection and Use of Information
RENEWAL collects personal and non-personal information that you provide while interacting with the Site. For example, RENEWAL may collect your personal information when you apply for a job, make a donation, or contact us via the Site. The personal information that RENEWAL may collect includes your name, mailing address, social security number, phone number, email address, credit card number, and other financial information. The non-personal information that RENEWAL may collect includes your browser type, the URL of the previous website you visited, your ISP, operating system, and your Internet protocol (IP) Address. RENEWAL does not use the non-personal information provided by you to personally identify you and is not readily usable for that purpose.
RENEWAL may use analytic and reporting technologies to record non-personal information such as internet domain and host names, internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser software, operating system types, click patterns, and the dates and times that the Site and our services are accessed by you. RENEWAL may engage a third-party to help manage, monitor and optimize the Site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising, communications and users’ interaction with the Site. RENEWAL may use web beacons and cookies (described below) for this purpose.
2. RENEWAL’s Use of Information for Internal Purpose
RENEWAL uses your personal information primarily for its own internal purposes, such as providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving the Site, the products and services Renewal offers and sells, to collect credit card payments for donations or other fees, to collect job applications, and to provide customer support.
RENEWAL uses the non-personal information collected to track the use of the Site and to assist RENEWAL in providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving the Site and the products and services RENEWAL offers and sells.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
RENEWAL will disclose your personal information to protect or enforce RENEWAL’s legal rights and policies, to protect or enforce the legal rights of a third-party, or as RENEWAL in good faith believes is required by law (such as to comply with a subpoena or court order, for example). RENEWAL also uses third parties to provide certain services that may be accessed through the Site. For example, RENEWAL uses a third-party vendor to support electronic donations made online.
If you attend a RENEWAL fundraiser or other event, RENEWAL may disclose your personal information to this third-party so that RENEWAL can contact you about future events and donation opportunities. Currently, this third-party vendor is Frontstream, but RENEWAL reserves the right to change this vendor at any time without prior notice to you.
RENEWAL may also contract with various third parties who help RENEWAL provide, maintain and improve the Site and products and services RENEWAL offers. These third parties may have access to your personal information in order to perform their services. RENEWAL has no control over how third-party vendors collect or use your personal information and these third-party vendors may have terms, conditions, and privacy policies that differ from RENEWAL You should review the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of any website you visit before disclosing any personal information.
4. Disclosure of Non-Personal Information to Third Parties
RENEWAL may disclose non-personal information, in aggregate form, to potential strategic partners, advertisers, investors, customers, and others. You may not opt-out of the sharing of this information.
5. Use of Cookies and Web Beacons
A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. Most websites use cookies. RENEWAL may use cookies to track your use of the Site, provide you with a more personalized user experience, and to facilitate your logging in to certain portions of the Site as applicable. A web beacon is an often-transparent graphic image, usually no larger than a 1×1 pixel that is placed on a web page or in an e-mail that is used to monitor the behavior of the user visiting the Site or receiving the e-mail. Cookies and web beacons used by RENEWAL will not be linked to your personal information.
6. Protection of Your Personal Information
RENEWAL follows generally accepted industry standards to protect personal information submitted via the Site. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while RENEWAL strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, RENEWAL does not guarantee absolute security. 7. Children’s Privacy
Children under the age of 13 are expressly prohibited from using the Site. RENEWAL will not knowingly collect or use any personal information from children under the age of 13. In addition, RENEWAL will promptly delete any information in RENEWAL’s database that RENEWAL knows originates from a child under the age of 13. 8. Opting-Out from Receiving Communications from RENEWAL
You may opt-out from having your personal information used for certain purposes. For example, you do not want to receive any promotional or other communications from RENEWAL, you may opt-out by following the instructions included in each email communication or by emailing us at info@RenewalInc.com.
9. Legal Compliance
Nothing in this Policy is intended to conflict with any rights, duties or obligations established by laws or regulations that apply to you or your personal or non-personal information, including laws and regulations regarding the protection of data, privacy and notice of data breaches. If any provision of this Policy conflicts with or is unenforceable pursuant to any law or regulation applicable to you and/or to your personal or non-personal information, then the applicable law or regulation will prevail and we will comply with such law or regulation.
State and/or federal law may require us to notify you (in certain circumstances defined by law or regulation) if your personal information has been compromised, and we will comply with our legal obligations in applicable jurisdictions. The laws and regulations that apply to RENEWAL and to you and your personal and/or non-personal information may be different from those in the jurisdiction where you reside.
10. Changes in Privacy Policy
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove this Privacy Policy, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice. Although we will use our best efforts to notify you that this Privacy Policy has been changed or updated, such notice is not required for those changes or updates to be effective and binding. Our current Privacy Policy is posted on the Site. It is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes or updates. Your continued use of the Site following any changes or updates means that you accept and agree to the changes or updates.
